We love our children at Newberry ARP Church, and we want to communicate to them that they are valued in the sight of God and to us. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Their care, education, protection, and upbringing within the covenant community are an integral part of our mission and identity. As we come alongside parents in the nurture of our children, we have a number of opportunities and environments available to serve these youngest members of our church.
Every Sunday we have nurseries available to care for our youngest children. These are places where they can begin to see and experience the love of Jesus for them. When you arrive at worship, just follow the signs and our nursery staff will help you sign in and take special care of your children.
Children's Sunday School
The apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 2:6-7, “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” In light of this pattern of life, we believe that Sunday School is an important opportunity for children to learn about God's Word in a context appropriate for their age. It is a joy for our Sunday School teachers to encourage their growing hearts and minds so that they might established in the faith.
